INSURANCE FAQs
Someone from Epic just visited my property to estimate the cost of repairs. How soon will I know the status of my claim?
Given the current volume of claims we have been processing, it may take up to 10 business days after we visit your property before an estimate is completed and sent to your insurance adjuster. We will not proceed with repairs until we have received approval from your insurance adjuster.
My insurance adjuster has approved your estimate. What next?
Once we have received written approval from your insurance adjuster to proceed with repairs as estimated, we will contact you to confirm details related to your file. After a work order has been completed, your file will go to our production department and a representative will call you with details about scheduling your project.
When will my project be done?
We hesitate to speculate about project schedules until all the details have been sorted out and approved. Once the work order for your project has been completed our production department will call you with scheduling details.
Why is my project taking longer to do than my neighbour's?
A number of variables affect the speed at which a claim is processed and repairs completed. They include, but are not limited to: the date a claim was initiated, how quickly we are able to get to your site, the nature of damages (roof only? or roof, siding, windows, eaves, etc?), how quickly your adjuster is able to process the assessment, the availability of materials, and weather. If you have any questions related to your project we will do our best to respond as quickly as possible with the information we have available at that time.
Do you work through the winter?
Yes, weather permitting. We roof and install exteriors products year-round and honour our workmanship warranties regardless of when in the year the work is completed. Be assured that in order to back our own workmanship warranties we work within the specifications of each product manufacturer's warranty requirements.
