Scope

Tar and Gravel Liquid roof recover system.

Description

A strip mall based in the NE of Calgary, this property previously had a number of leaks which were patched but water flow to the drains as these patches had failed. We completed a full inspection including destructive testing to understand the makeup of the roof while also utilizing our Tramex moisture scanning to identify any water currently in the system. Ultimately, we salvaged 90% of the existing roof to use as a basis for a Liquid overlay recovery option. We repaired the 10% of damaged roofing and then cleaned and prepared the existing roof for the new coverboard to provide a clean finish for the liquid membrane and allow for a smooth surface for water flow to the outlets. All of this was completed without shutting down any business in the property and saved the client significant time and money on completing a full replacement.
