Single-Family home roof replacementwith full spray foam application and ridge-vent.
Description
After 50 years the existing vapor barrier and insulation doesn't perform as they should or use to, you get more vapor release and heat loss during the cold months and summer when this hits the underside of your roof, it condenses which turns to ice when it warms up you get the melt which looks to be a leak. Over the years the insulation has shrunk creating an air gap in the cavities between your roof trusses that should be ventilated, but you can't because each gap is separate from the rest unless you build a custom continuous ridge vent. This moisture will eventually rot out your roof structure and cause mold etc. The cross strapping lifts the roof surface and gives the roof full ventilation with the air gap from gable to gable, this ventilation is bug screened and hidden with new metals.
